David has had a highly impactful career in IT sector in Armenia and internationally working at Synergy International Systems, a software development and tech consulting company specializing in the development of solutions helping national governments and international donor organizations to deliver development and aid projects in an efficient, data-driven and transparent manner maximizing their social impact. During his professional career of 15 years, David has led a number of functions and teams within the company, including technical support, project implementation, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Business Development, eventually working as the Vice President for European Operations.
David worked in 75 countries supporting national governments and international donor organizations (EC, World Bank, UNDP, UNICEF, USAID, MCC, GIZ, DfID, African Union Commission, NGOs and government agencies in Europe, Middle East, Asia-Pacific, Africa, and Americas) to deliver projects in the spheres of international development and aid effectiveness, disaster management, public financial management, e-government, social protection, monitoring and evaluation of international development projects, partnership management, and many more.
David greatly enjoyed discovering new cultures through his travels all over the world and always showed an elegant taste and immense appreciation of art, architecture, music, languages, cuisines and traditions of diverse countries and people he got to interact with. He had a keen eye for seeing the beauty of the world around and took a delight in sharing the stories of his travels through his photography.
David has also taught as a professor at the American University of Armenia for several years inspiring and motivating students to start careers in IT by sharing his knowledge and vast experience in the IT sector.
